Position Summary Information

General Information

The Department of Health Professions at James Madison University is accepting applications for an Administrative Program Support Specialist to provide financial management, office management and general administrative support to the Academic Unit Head (AUH) and Unit programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

The position will provide fiscal and administrative support. The individual will receive significant training and be expected to take an active role in defining and refining operational processes. Major duties include initiating processes, tracking and reporting functions related to finance, personnel and academic affairs; maintaining the department head’s calendar; serving as administrative liaison with program staff; quality assurance over classroom scheduling; and assistance with purchasing. The successful candidate will be responsible for confidential information and be expected to serve as a good steward of unit funds.
