Position Summary Information

General Information

Students MUST be eligible for Federal Work Study and available to work approximately 10-14 hours per week, between the hours of 8am-5pm, M-F. You may set your own working schedule within these parameters. The period of employment includes the spring semester of 2018.

Duties and Responsibilities

Event planning and logistics; student will work directly with the Assistant Director of University Advancement Events. Duties and responsibilities include event preparation (i.e., invitation design, menu creation, decor, day-of-event logistics, etc.), data entry and other organizational duties as needed.


University Advancement is seeking an undergraduate federal work study-eligible student who has an interest in event management and hospitality with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal student must be detail-oriented and willing to work hard to ensure a successful event. We would ideally like for someone to start with us this semester and stay with us for future semesters. Our office is located in Sonner Hall – 481 Bluestone Drive next to Newman Lake.

Conditions of Employment

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
