General Information

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at James Madison University is seeking a faculty member for an appointment at the Assistant Professor level to begin in August 2018.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to establish a vibrant research program in organic chemistry with significant involvement of undergraduates. Teaching responsibilities will include lower division introductory chemistry courses and laboratories (e.g., general and organic chemistry). In addition, departmental, university and professional service will be expected.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Chemistry is required; post-doctoral experience is preferred.
