General Information

James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for a 10-month, full-time Assistant Professor/Instructor (tenure or non-tenure track) position in the School of Nursing (SON), which offers CCNE accredited Baccalaureate, Masters and Doctorate of Nursing Practice programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include clinical and classroom teaching in the BSN program. Other teaching responsibilities may include graduate teaching as needed. Professional, school and university service and scholarship are additional expectations.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a minimum of a master’s degree in nursing; a doctorate in nursing or a related discipline is preferred. Three years of clinical experience in Adult Health nursing is required. Other requirements include RN registration and eligibility for Virginia nursing license.
