Position Summary Information

General Information

James Madison University is accepting applications for a highly motivated, dedicated individual to serve as part of the IT-Information Systems Team supporting the university’s Identity and Access Management applications and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support of complex applications comprising the university’s Oracle-based Identity and Access Management Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for full software development life-cycle efforts (analysis, design, development/integration, implementation and support) for complex projects related to the university’s Identity and Access Management Systems. Additionally, responsibilities will include support of on-going operations and system upgrades.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

- Experience with one or more components of the Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite to include one or more of Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Unified Directory and Oracle Virtual Directory.
- Experience with complex relational database designs and query languages such as SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience working with SQL, Linux, Java, JSP/Javascript, XML, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Web Services.
- Demonstrated experience with software development in medium to large complex application environments.
- Demonstrated, excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills; one who can effectively convey information verbally and in writing.
- Interpersonal skills for building effective business relationships with customers and stakeholders that lead to successful requirements gathering and timely fulfillment of solutions.
- The flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments while effectively prioritizing and juggling multiple concurrent projects.
- Highly analytical thinking skills with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving and streamlining complex work processes.
- Innovative problem-solving skills that lead to workable solutions and swift resolution.
