Position Summary Information

General Information

General Computing Labs employment. We are looking for responsible, dependable, hard-working students who are willing to work 6-20 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Consult with students, faculty and staff in the labs regarding software and hardware questions on PC and Apple platforms.
-Open and close labs so they are available for all scheduled hours.
-Answer printing questions and keep printers operational.
-Keep up-to-date on “class specific” software packages that are currently in the labs to assist in directing students to correct labs.
-Assist students getting started with new applications.
-Insure all Computer Lab policies and procedures are followed.
-Keep managment informed of any lab problems and ensure that supplies are on hand as necessary.
-Troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems.
-Submit work orders for all lab problems.

Conditions of Employment

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
