Position Summary Information

General Information

The Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services, located in Blue Ridge Hall, is seeking a student assistant to provide general office support for 8-10 hours per week. The schedule will be determined by applicant’s availability and office needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

*Assist Operations support with workshop and course preparation
*Assist in maintaining the mailroom, conference rooms, and common areas.
*Provide coverage for the receptionist office (answer the phone, greet clients, take payments).
*Provide general clerical support including typing, copying, faxing, and medical record filing.
*Assist Billing Coordinator with copying, mailing, and filing of medical claims and invoices.
*Secure the building during evening hours.
*Provide assistance with DVD recording in clinic rooms
*Provide support to the Clinical Services Billing Specialist as assigned, including Excel data entry, mailings, and clinic room scheduling.


*Office experience required
*Good customer service skills

*Reliability and dependability
*Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Conditions of Employment

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
